The Global Knowledge Dialogue is a series of events the ISC is holding through the various regions of the world, starting in Africa at the World Science Forum in 2022 and then in other regions in 2023. This save the date is for the Global Knowledge Dialogue: Africa. Dates for the other Global Knowledge Dialogues for Latin America, Asia-Pacific and Europe will be published soon.
The full day Africa forum on 5 December 2022 will consist of three blocks including:
- The ISC in a Member context: A discussion between the ISC leadership, ISC Fellows, and Members on the strategic and organizational objectives of the ISC for the next five years
- The ISC in the global context: A look at some of the current issues facing science systems worldwide and how these can be strengthened, particularly as part of Track II Diplomacy in the multilateral system
- The ISC in a regional context: A dialogue to co-design the global voice for science in Africa, specifically looking at key priority areas for strengthening science systems in Africa and the role of an ISC regional focal point.
A full programme will be shared with Members shortly. In the meantime, please register your interest in attending the dialogue. The dialogue is open for all ISC Members attending the World Science Forum, but is particularly relevant to African Members.
All ISC Members can register their interest in the Global Knowledge Dialogue and World Science Forum in Africa in the form below by 31 October 2022.
